An adapted behavioral robot model with advanced cognitive/physical interaction capabilities for assessment and rehabilitation of neurodegenerative diseases
DESTINI project aims to design an adaptative behavioral models for a social-capable robot that improve long term physical and cognitive interactions by integrating the cognitive control into the decision-making module thus to measure the human engagement during HRI for application physical cognitive assessment and rehabilitation scenarios.
Objectives
The projects aims to pursuit the following research objectives:
- To design and development of an advanced robot behavioral model with advanced long-term interaction abilities for cognitive and physical stimulation
- To assess in a robot the possibility that what learned in neural and behavioral science on cognitive control would allow to identify the main principal components capable of explaining a large quote (>90%) of variability of engagement in a human-robot interaction.
- To demonstrate the system validation up to TRL5/6
