Our Laboratory is currently involved in various research projects, both at national and international level. Below, you will find a list of selected ongoing projects.

• 2024: ROOMMATE - IntegRated system of rObOts and Multimedia Monitors: technology for innovAtion and personalizaTion of rEhabilitation care - HORIZON-THCS- KK (2024-2026). The primary objective of ROOMMATE is to develop, implement and test a sustainable rehabilitation ecosystem based on ICT and multimedia technologies, to innovate stroke rehabilitation pathways. • 2022: Age-It "Ageing Well in an Ageing Society" - Next Generation EU (PNRR) PE8-B83C22004800006 (2022-2025). The project aims to provoke a quantum leap in Italy’s contribution to research on ageing, making it a leader in research as well as in strategic European and global value chains. Within this project, Prof. Cavallo is the leader of Spoke 9 entitled "Advanced Gerontechnologies for active and healthy ageing". Additionally, the activities carried out by the our Laboratory mostly focus on i) enhance software and hardware that allow interaction processes and bridge capabilities between users and service/machines, and ii)implement solutions to realize personal monitoring at home, exploiting wearable internal and physiological sensors. • 2022: Fit4MEDRob, Fit for Medical Robotics (2022-2026), National Plan for complementary investments to the National Plan for recovery and resilience. It aims to address, through robotic technologies, a significant clinical, socioeconomic, and humanitarian problem arising from the demand for rehabilitation and care of people with reduced or absent motor, sensory, or cognitive functions due to injuries or congenital reasons. The proposal involves 25 partners in Italy. Funding: 20,373,062.00 Euros. Our lab is involved in Spoke/activity. Project's website
• 2022: Tuscany Health Ecosystem - THE- Next Generation EU (PNRR) XXXX (2023-2025). The project aims to.  Project's website 
• 2022: DESTINI Project - Bando Giovani Ricercatori 2022 (2022-20JJ). DESTINI project aims to design an adaptative behavioral models for a social-capable robot that improve long term physical and cognitive interactions by integrating the cognitive control into the decision-making module thus to measure the human engagement during HRI for application physical cognitive assessment and rehabilitation scenarios.
